What Courts and Clients Have Said About Ron
From Ron's review in Chambers & Partners: "Ron brings creative solutions to often complex situations. He loves his trade, which is evident in what he does, how he does it and how he delivers it."
The Third District Court of Appeal adopted Ron's expert witness opinion in Certain Underwriters at Lloyd's v. Candelaria, writing, "the only number for which there is competent, substantial evidence [was] adduced by the defendant's fee expert following a line-by-line accounting of the compensable hours."
Judge Fahnestock in Kirkeberg v. Universal Property & Casualty Insurance Company wrote: "The Court finds that Mr. Kammer’s testimony regarding the number of hours that should have been billed on the instant case to be a reasonable reflection of the amount of time that this matter should have taken. The Court further finds Mr. Kammer’s testimony credible and persuasive that multiple time entries appearing in the records submitted to Court at the March 5,
2024 hearing were excessive, were not an accurate reflection of the labor involved or the amount of work performed, or were otherwise not in accordance with the Rules of Professional Responsibility in that the time entries could not be properly billed to the clients... The Court finds that the testimony of
Defendant’s expert, Ron Kammer, is credible and persuasive based on his background and familiarity with local rates. The rates suggested by Mr. Kammer accurately reflect the “market rate” that is charged in Broward County."
